Torreah “Cookie” Washington is an art quilter based in Goose Creek, SC. She is the curator of the 13th Annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition: Black Gold. In this workshop, Washington will talk about the history and tradition of African-American quilting. Attendees will be able to observe a demonstration and participate in a simple make and take activity.
