The Bluffton Independence Day 5K

The Town of Bluffton is hosting its third annual Independence Day Celebration, Sunday, June 30. The celebration will begin with its inaugural Independence Day 5K at 9 a.m. The Independence Day Celebration resumes at 5 p.m. with a pre-party at Martin Family and DuBois Parks and the firework show will begin shortly after 9:00 p.m.

• The Bluffton Independence Day 5K: This race is the perfect way to begin your Independence Day Celebration. Make plans to run, jog or walk Sunday, June 30th, 9 a.m. at Martin Family Park. This is the first event of the Town’s Independence Day Celebration in Bluffton’s Historic District.

➢ This race benefits the Mayor’s “Stay Safe, Bluffton!” campaign and student scholarships to encourage mindful driving on Bluffton and Beaufort County’s roads as well as reward students who are safe driving ambassadors.

➢ This 5K, professionally timed by the Palmetto Running Company, will also introduce the “Mayor’s Cup,” a trophy which will reside at Bluffton’s Town Hall and list the female and male top race winners each year.

➢ All ages and skills levels are welcome. Strollers and dogs are also welcome – the top 3 dogs receive an award.

➢ First 400 runners will receive a Bluffton Independence Day 5K race shirt.

➢ Race Packet Pick Up will be on Saturday June 29th at Martin Family Park from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Martin Family Park 68 Boundary Street, Bluffton S.C. 29910
