The Forsyth Farmers’ Market is delighted to host a soulful Farmsgiving Brunch with a Gullah-Geechee twist, featuring popular Food Network chef Gina Capers Willis, who will create a soulful feast using fresh produce, meats and products from the Forsyth Farmers’ Market.
This event is open to the public. Tickets are $100 for ages 13 and older, $50 for youth ages six to 12 and free for children ages five and under. To purchase tickets, please visit forsythfarmersmarket.com.
Attendees can immerse themselves in the richness of Gullah Geechee heritage through a sumptuous meal that celebrates coming together to support the Savannah community and to honor Gullah Geechee traditions. All proceeds will benefit Forsyth Farmers’ Market programs designed to support local farmers and to expand access to healthy, nutrient-dense food throughout the Savannah community.
Gina Capers Willis is the star of “What’s Gina Cooking?,” an Emmy Award-nominated Food Network digital series, and has been featured in Bon Appetit, Essence and Atlanta Magazine. She lives in Savannah and is a leading Lowcountry chef with deep Gullah and Cuban roots.
Farmsgiving celebrations encourage area residents to enjoy a delicious meal together to support the Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s mission to support sustainable agriculture and to increase access to fresh, local food.
