Songs and Beer for Heroes

September 11, 2001 is a day that we will never forget. The horrific event has been implanted in our minds and hearts forever.
Remembering, helping, and honoring First Responders is something we must continuously strive doing to assure these brave individuals that have sacrificed so much are never forgotten.
The objective of Songs and Beer for Heroes is to:
- Increase the awareness of the needs of our First Responders and show gratitude for these brave individuals that serve and protect us.
- Raise money for The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire, a 501©3 nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to fallen First Responders in our area. In addition to providing financial assistance to the family of a fallen hero, the 200 Club also pays for the college education for the surviving spouse and children. Combining live music and craft beer as the vehicle to accomplish these objectives is the basis for the Beer for Heroes. Providing the community with a quality, fun event, will be the driving force behind the fundraising event.
The event is being held at Poseidon, the premier entertainment and restaurant venue in the Hilton Head/Bluffton/Savannah area. It is conveniently located in the Shelter Cove complex on Hilton Head, and easily accessible
from Bluffton and neighboring communities. All breweries, entertainers, and attendees will be inside, protected from weather.
Its important to note that there is abundant free parking surrounding the location. As in the past, a great team of volunteers will be available to assist in set up, dispensing beer, and all other aspects of the event.
Music acts confirmed to perform are: Ben Hughey of Näytiv, Spike Ivory, C.C. Witt and Lyn Avenue, and Dillon Dixon.
Acts will be performing simultaneously on both levels of Poseidon.

Brewmasters and representatives will be on hand to discuss their craft.
A silent auction will raise additional funds for the 200 Club.
The 200 Club will display its Memorial Wall, a 40 foot mobile display honoring all of the fallen First Responders from our area. The organization will be on hand to provide information regarding its mission.
Poseidon will be running video presentations of the 200 Club charity and tributes to 9/11 and our First Responders throughout its facility. Presale tickets will be available through Poseidon’s website at www.poseidonhhi.com, as well as being available at the door. Admission cost is $25 per person, and will include a Lowcountry Boil and BBQ dinner buffet, salads and dessert. In addition, each attendee will receive a collectible pint glass bearing the event and participating breweries logos, along with two 4 oz. tastings. Additional tastings will be available for $2. All proceeds from the admission, beer tastings, and auction are being donated to the 200 Club.
Various levels of financial sponsorships are available to support this event and the charity it serves.
