February Hilton Head Island Weather
January rains bring February weather gains. Increasing daily temperatures and dwindling showers categorize this month’s forecast.
Maximum daily temperatures of 60 to 67 degrees mean plenty of days outdoors beachcombing, checking out local nature preserves, and hiking in this ideal weather. Hilton Head Island even averages six glorious days in the low 70s, so make sure to pack appropriately.
Nights remain chilly on the Island throughout February, with temperatures dipping as low as 32 degrees, but usually hovering anywhere between 40 and 45 degrees. Sweaters, layers, and thoughtful activity planning will be your best friends this February when planning your Hilton Head Island vacation.
February delivers two days less rain than the previous month, with an approximate 8 days of rainfall. This month does, however, bring more unpredictable weather patterns with some years providing drier weather, and some years having an uncharacteristically wet February
Keep your eyes on the long-range forecast and plan your Hilton Head explorations accordingly.
The temperature steadily increases each day during this month on Hilton Head. Warmer and longer 11 hour days allow for a broader range of activities on the Island. Excluding swimming (unless your rental home has a heated pool or Jacuzzi), there’s nothing stopping you from enjoying all the area has to offer.
Winter weather patterns don’t mitigate the humidity of Hilton Head’s subtropical climate. Mornings are typically more humid, but afternoons and evenings become much more comfortable with the humidity dropping to 52 percent. Outdoor activities are best kept to the afternoons for ideal weather conditions.
